Policies

Privacy, cookies, and refunds — in plain language

Three policies live on this page. We have written them in plain language because we read consumer agreements ourselves and we know what they should look like. Each policy can be linked directly via the anchors below. The Terms of Use have their own page.

PRIVACY

Privacy Statement

Last updated: March 20, 2026
  1. 01 How long we keep your data

We keep your account data for as long as your learner account is active and for 24 months after the last cohort you participated in, after which we delete or anonymise it. Cohort artefacts you produced (e.g. write-ups submitted for mentor review) are kept for 12 months unless you ask us to delete them earlier. Billing records are kept for 5 years to satisfy KR tax-record requirements.

  2. 02 Contact for privacy questions

Privacy questions, requests to access your data, and complaints can be sent to academy@browse-feed.digital. We will acknowledge within 5 business days and respond in full within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to file a complaint with the Personal Information Protection Commission of Korea.

  3. 03 What we collect and why

For account creation we collect your name, email, and password (stored as a salted hash). If you enroll in a paid programme, we collect billing and tax information through our payment processor — we do not store full card numbers ourselves. While you participate in a cohort, we collect submitted work, mentor feedback, and attendance records. Optional fields (LinkedIn URL, employer, role) are collected only if you provide them.

  4. 04 Scope of this policy

This policy covers personal data we process as a controller for browse-feed.digital and the BlueGrid Forge academy. It does not cover separate processing by our certifying-body partners (for example, when you sit a Security+ exam) — those bodies act as independent controllers and publish their own policies, which we link to during enrolment.

  5. 05 How we use your data

We use your data to deliver the programmes you enroll in, run mentor reviews, manage attendance, send operational emails (cohort reminders, lab access details), and improve future cohorts based on retrospective feedback. We do not sell your personal data and we do not buy lookalike audiences from advertising platforms.

  6. 06 Your rights as a learner

Under PIPA you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, to ask us to delete it, and to ask us to stop processing it for specific purposes. You can also withdraw consent for optional processing without affecting your enrolment. To exercise any of these rights, email academy@browse-feed.digital from the address linked to your account.

  7. 07 Third parties we share data with

We share data with: a payment processor (for tuition payments), an email delivery provider (for cohort communications), and a privacy-friendly analytics provider. We do not share learner data with employers, recruiters, or marketing networks. If a corporate cohort sponsor requests aggregated cohort outcomes, we share only anonymised aggregate metrics — never individual performance data.

  8. 08 Updates to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will note the new "last updated" date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, contact registered learners by email. Continued use of the academy services after a posted update means you accept the revised policy. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will give at least 30 days notice before it takes effect.

  9. 09 Language and governing version

This policy is published in English. Where we provide a Korean translation for convenience, the English version controls in case of conflict. We do not warrant that the translation is exact and we will fix material discrepancies on request.

  10. 10 Severability and survival

If any provision of this policy is held unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including obligations relating to retention, intellectual property, and limitation of liability — will survive.

  11. 11 Governing law and jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion will be submitted to the Seoul Central District Court, unless the applicable consumer-protection rules require a different venue for an individual learner.

  12. 12 How to reach us

Questions, complaints, or formal requests under this policy can be sent to academy@browse-feed.digital. Where we are required to respond within a statutory timeframe (for example, certain rights requests under PIPA), we will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and respond in full within the timeframe set by the applicable rule.

COOKIES

Cookie Settings

Last updated: April 1, 2026
  1. 01 What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to keep on your device. They sit there quietly until you come back, and then they tell us things like "yes, this is the same browser that asked for the dark theme last visit." Some of them are needed for the site to work, and some of them help us understand how the site is used. Nothing on this page is hidden in legal vocabulary on purpose.

  2. 02 How we ask for your consent

When you arrive on browse-feed.digital we show a small notice at the bottom of the screen. You can accept the cookies, decline them, or close the notice and use the site without making a choice. If you decline, we still set a tiny cookie remembering that you declined — otherwise we would ask you again every visit, which we doubt anyone wants. You can change your mind at any time by clearing the academy cookie key from your browser, or by emailing academy@browse-feed.digital.

  3. 03 Third parties and what they see

We deliberately keep the third-party footprint small. We use a privacy-friendly analytics provider that does not set browser-tracking cookies and does not share data across sites. We do not load social-network widgets that set their own cookies. If you watch an embedded session recording, the embed provider may set a cookie scoped to its domain — we list current providers in the table below and update the list when we change a provider.

  4. 04 Categories of cookies we set

Strictly necessary cookies keep you logged into your learner account, remember your theme preference, and remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies (only if you opted in) collect aggregate statistics about which pages are visited and where learners stumble. We do not run advertising, retargeting, or behavioural-profiling cookies. We have considered them and chosen not to.

  5. 05 Contacting us about cookies

If you have a question about a specific cookie or want a deeper technical explanation of what it does, write to academy@browse-feed.digital. We will respond in plain language and will not redirect you to a generic privacy address.

  6. 06 Changing your preferences

You can clear cookies from any browser through its settings, usually under "Privacy" or "Site data." Doing so will reset your theme preference and re-show our cookie notice. If you would like a guided walkthrough for your specific browser version, we keep one updated for the most-used browsers — ask via the contact email and we will send the relevant link.

  7. 07 Updates to this policy

  8. 08 Language and governing version

This policy is published in English. Where we provide a Korean translation for convenience, the English version controls in case of conflict. We do not warrant that the translation is exact and we will fix material discrepancies on request.

  9. 09 Severability and survival

If any provision of this policy is held unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including obligations relating to retention, intellectual property, and limitation of liability — will survive.

  10. 10 Governing law and jurisdiction

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes that cannot be resolved through good-faith discussion will be submitted to the Seoul Central District Court, unless the applicable consumer-protection rules require a different venue for an individual learner.

  11. 11 How to reach us

REFUND

Refund & Cancellation

Last updated: April 14, 2026
  1. 01 Who is eligible for a refund

Refunds apply to paid programmes (bootcamps, intensives, workshops, and the Corporate Analyst Onboarding Programme). Free events (open webinars, sample sessions) are not refundable because there is nothing to refund. Refund eligibility is tied to the registered learner — refunds cannot be transferred to a third party.

  2. 02 How to request a refund

Email academy@browse-feed.digital from the address linked to your account, with the cohort name, your enrolment date, and a one-line reason. We do not require justification beyond that — the timeframe rules below decide eligibility, not the reason. We will reply within 3 business days with an itemised refund calculation.

  3. 03 Timeframes and proportions

Within 14 days of cohort start: full refund minus a 50,000 KRW administrative fee. After 14 days but before 50% of the cohort has elapsed: pro-rated refund of the unused portion, minus the administrative fee. After 50% elapsed: no monetary refund, but you may transfer your seat to a future cohort once, at no charge, within 12 months.

  4. 04 Contacting us about a refund

Refund correspondence is handled by the admissions team at academy@browse-feed.digital. If you do not receive an acknowledgement within 5 business days, please follow up with "Refund request — second contact" in the subject line.

  5. 05 What this policy covers

This policy covers tuition paid directly to BlueGrid Forge for our published programmes. It does not cover third-party fees (for example, certifying-body exam vouchers), which follow the certifying body's own refund rules. We disclose those rules clearly during enrolment so you can make an informed decision.

  6. 06 Exceptional circumstances

We will consider a full or extended refund outside the standard windows in cases of documented serious illness, family emergency, or military service. These are evaluated case-by-case, in writing, and we apply them generously rather than parsimoniously. We do not require disproportionate documentation — a doctor's note or equivalent is sufficient.

  7. 07 Updates to this policy

We may revise this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will note the new "last updated" date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, contact registered learners by email.
